How we compare email platforms

Every price links to the vendor's own pricing page, with the date we checked it. We don't give star ratings or scores.

Where a vendor charges in dollars we show its price as displayed, plus an approximate pound figure using the European Central Bank reference rate, clearly labelled.

If we couldn't find a fact on an official page, we leave it blank rather than guess.

Some “Visit” links are, or will become, affiliate links: if you sign up through one we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes the prices, facts or order we show.

Email platform prices change often and some exclude VAT. Prices shown are monthly unless we say otherwise. Always check the final price on the vendor's site before you pay.

How tools are chosen

Each listing links to the official website, states its licence and whether it is fully open source, free but proprietary, or free with paid tiers, and shows stars, last-commit date and licence from the project's public repository where it has one. Top Pick listings are clearly labelled and never change the facts shown about a tool.
